What is gCMOB and iCMOB?

gCMOB (for Android) and iCMOB (for iOS) are free security camera monitoring apps developed by CP PLUS. They allow you to view live video, playback recordings, receive motion alerts, and manage your CCTV cameras remotely from your smartphone or tablet.

Is gCMOB free to download and use?

Yes, gCMOB and iCMOB are completely free to download and use. All core features including live view, playback, motion detection alerts, and PTZ control are available at no cost. Optional cloud storage plans are available through InstaOn.

How do I download gCMOB?

For Android devices, download gCMOB from the Google Play Store. For iPhones and iPads, download iCMOB from the Apple App Store. Search for 'gCMOB' or 'iCMOB' in your respective app store and install it for free.

How do I add a camera or device to gCMOB?

Open gCMOB, tap the '+' button to add a device. You can scan the QR code on your camera or DVR/NVR for quick setup, or manually enter the device serial number. Make sure your device is powered on and connected to the network.

Can I use gCMOB on my PC or computer?

While gCMOB is primarily a mobile app, you can use it on PC through Android emulators like BlueStacks. CP PLUS also offers dedicated desktop software called KVMS Pro for Windows and Mac for a full desktop monitoring experience.

What is the difference between gCMOB and iCMOB?

gCMOB is designed for Android devices while iCMOB is for iOS (iPhone and iPad). Both apps offer the same core features including live view, playback, motion detection, two-way audio, and PTZ control. The only difference is the platform they run on.

Why is my camera showing offline in gCMOB?

Camera offline issues are usually caused by: 1) Poor network connection - check your WiFi or Ethernet cable, 2) Camera power loss - verify the power supply, 3) Router restart needed - reboot your router, 4) App needs refresh - force close and reopen gCMOB. If the issue persists, try re-adding the device.

What devices are compatible with gCMOB?

gCMOB works with all CP PLUS security cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and video doorbells that support the InstaOn P2P protocol. It also supports many ONVIF-compatible devices from other manufacturers. Check your device's documentation for compatibility details.
